The Bill Wiki

Plot[]

Debbie Lindfield is brought into Sun Hill police station by Sgt. Cryer after being assaulted. Debbie is initially reluctant to report the rape, potentially due to fear or shame. W.P.C. Ackland attempts to interview Debbie, but faces constant interference from Debbie's friend, Sandra Morrison. Sandra's obstructive behavior and confrontational attitude toward the police raise suspicions about her true intentions and influence on Debbie. In a separate investigation, D.S. Roach investigates a burglary where the householder claims more jewellery was stolen than has been recovered. The burglars, however, deny taking the extra items, creating a conflict in testimony that Roach must navigate to uncover the truth. Given Sandra's statement to P.C. Muswell and her antagonistic behaviour, there's a strong possibility that her boyfriend was involved in Debbie's assault, and that Sandra is attempting to cover for him or even implicating Debbie falsely.
