- 1982 - Hendon
Chandler was at a party which took place at Hendon. He was dating a woman called Louise Marsden whose brother knew Chandler. The 2 kissed but she had enough when Chandler would not stop touching her and he raped her. Louise later killed herself.
- 2000 - Transferred to Sun Hill
Following the resignation of Chief Superintendent Charles Brownlow, Chandler was brought in as his replacement to take over Sun Hill after a stint in the West End.
- 2002 - Relationship with Debbie McAllister
Debbie heard of the affair and went to console Tom, drawn by the hope of taking advantage of the situation. She told him she knew about the affair but would be silent. She had created a bond and a dependence on her by Chandler. After the memorial service for those killed in the 2002 Sun Hill Fire, McAllister came on to Chandler, congratulating him for the speech. They went into the disabled toilets and they had sex. Tom later dumped her but she revealed that she was pregnant with his child. Chandler wanted nothing to do with it and he convince her to have an abortion but Debbie could not go through with it. They later got married but afterwards, Chandler raped Debbie.
- 2002 - Committed Suicide
After Meadows and Webb went to CIB over the rape allegations, Chandler knew that it was over. He took a gun to his office, holding the pregnant McAllister up at gunpoint and when Meadows barged in, Chandler shot himself, knowing he would have been caught.
