The Bill Podcast is a monthly series featuring in-depth interviews with the stars of The Bill, celebrating their lives and careers. The podcast has been played over 450,000 times in 50 countries worldwide. The Podcast is released via Soundcloud, iTunes and all good podcasting platforms.
Since 2017, the podcast has been produced and presented by TV historian Oliver Crocker In May 2021, former The Bill star Suzanne Maddock (PC Cass Rickman) guest presented three episodes. Then in October 2022, former The Bill star Natalie Roles (DS Debbie McAllister) took over as main presenter, while Crocker continued to host cast/crew commentaries. In August 2024, the presenting team expanded further with three long-term producers of the podcast joining the line-up: TV historians Rob Cook, Patrick Stratford and Reaching a Verdict: Reviewing The Bill author Edward Kellett.
In 2019, The Bill Podcast's Patreon Channel launched, featuring over 250 hours of exclusive bonus content for Patrons, including 130+ Cast/Crew Commentaries, 450+ Reaction Videos, 4 x The Bill Reunion Highlights, 12 x exclusive Off the Beat Podcasts and Billgrimage location videos.
In 2024, a new weekly series The Evidence Room launched on the Patreon Channel where Oliver Crocker reviews the contents of 60 recently discovered folders of rare The Bill production paperwork, including abandoned storylines, character bibles, shooting schedules and reports, internal memos, press releases and much more. 56 episodes revealing the making of the series in 1999 were released in 2024 and a new weekly series focusing on production during 2000 launched on Patreon in 2025.
In 2025, Patrick Stratford began hosting a new monthly spinoff The Bill Obbocast released exclusively on Patreon for all paying supporters. Patrick is joined by a fellow fan for each episode to discuss their favourite aspect of The Bill.
