D.C. Stuart Turner was brought into Sun Hill to assist D.C. Terry Perkins with a serious assault. He impressed DCI Jack Meadows with his work, and Meadows offered him the vacant Sergeant's post.

Stuart graduated from university and became a teacher, but was quickly bored by the daily grind and unruly children. When a friend joined up with the MET, Stuart was intrigued and joined up too. Highly intelligent and very driven, Stuart excelled at Hendon, and had the pick of the jobs. He quickly realised that uniform was not for him, and C.I.D. was where his skills and intelligence would be put to best use.

A natural leader, Stuart likes to win. Though he’s ambitious, and can be somewhat two-faced, his arrogance is a façade; his heart is always in the right place and he throws himself into his cases with the zeal of someone much less cool than he likes to think he is.

Relationships[]

Stuart is unmarried, and single. Soon after he arrived at Sun Hill he had a brief but passionate fling with fellow CID Officer Sam Nixon. Unfortunately Stuart's attempts to ingratiate himself with several women since the demise of his (and the occasional personal humiliation). His deep-seated insecurity meant that he struggled with romantic relationships. Curiously his closest friendships are with two of Sun Hill's D.C. (now D.S.) Stevie Moss.
