Stuart Lamont was a Sergeant based at Sun Hill, played by Steve Morley.

A Sergeant on one of the other reliefs, his character usually appeared when 'A' Relief were off duty, typically as Custody Sergeant or CAD Sergeant.

Lamont has a dry sense of humour and has a good friendship with Bob Cryer.

He applied for the job of Youth and Community Staff Sergeant, losing out to Jane Kendall after a disappointing interview.

After over 50 semi-regular appearances over a 12 year period, he is last seen making a rare appearance outside of the station, handing over a crime scene to Liz Rawton in Series 17's Shout.
