As Smithy and Max investigate the killing of Jacko Jackson, the list of suspects continues to grow. Grandfather Johnnie admits to rowing with the lad, and his illegitimate son Roger Hutton has a clear motive for wanting him out of the way, while girlfriend Anya confesses to coming to blows with him on the night of the crime. With no strong leads, the pair have to act on gut instinct to prove which one of the suspects is capable of murder.
