Reg Hollis | Service Record |
|
Reg Hollis was a character in The Bill from 1984 until 2008.
Profile
PC Reg Hollis is one of life's persistent moaners. Reg used to be the station's colater until he decided to go back to pound the beat. He also served as the Fed Rep for the P.C.s' - mainly because no one else wanted the job. He took the job very seriously and was none too pleased when the likes of Barry Stringer and Nick Klein were elected instead of him.
Reg is a bit of a loser; not very popular, but his friendship with Des gave him more confidence. Reg is resourceful and strong willed - a side of him that is easily forgotten when he is moaning in someone's ear or boring them with the details of his model train set. Despite his sexual difficulties, Reg was a decent copper, he got on well with the majority of his colleagues.
His hobbies are modelling on a model train set and gardening. [1]
He would appear to have many of the symptoms of high-functioning Autism or Asperger's Syndrome, which is further reinforced by the fact that he is noted to have been sent to a 'sin bin' whilst at school.
In the end, Reg left Sun Hill and resigned from the force in 2008 following the death of P.C. Emma Keane.
