TJ Ramini (born Tarek Jafar Ramini) is an English actor best known for his role as DC Zain Nadir in The Bill.
He attended King Alfred School in North London. His father is Palestinian, while his mother is Australian and was a newsreader for ITV. He is also of Russian Jewish and Scottish ancestry. At 19, he moved to Australia, where he appeared in various acting roles. Other roles included guest parts in the hospital drama Casualty, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries and in the Hollywood movie Batman Begins.
He recently guest appeared in Boston Legal as a man who is wrongfully detained and tortured at Guantanamo Bay. Also in the US, Ramini appeared in theDesperate Housewives episode "Mama Spent Money When She Had None" as Yaniv.
He more recently appeared in the eighth season of 24 and NCIS.
He is engaged to singer/songwriter/producer Annie McQueen and they reside in Los Angeles, USA.
TJ is a huge football fan and has been a Tottenham Hotspur supporter all his life. He is from North London where 'Spurs' are based and his whole family are avid fans.
