Prisoners is the 442nd episode of The Bill.

Unnamed Sergeant in Prisoners 2

An uncredited actor appears as the Custody Sergeant relieving Boydon.

Sgt. Boyden and P.C. Hollis are hoping for a quiet night in the custody suite at Sun Hill, but that's not how it turns out. Hollis has to resuscitate a drunk who swallows his own vomit, and Boyden is sympathetic to a prostitute called Gloria.

This episode features the last of three appearances by David Chandler as P.C. Locket (credited here as P.C. Lockett). This appearance comes nearly a year after the last.

Despite having a line of dialogue, the actor who plays the Custody Sergeant relieving Boyden at the end of the episode doesn't receive a credit.

When D.C. Tosh Lines is awoken in the CID office by P.C. Reg Hollis, the portable TV next to him is showing ITV Night Time - a rare instance of another ITV brand being advertised on the series.

ITV Night Time

Tosh Lines snoozes next to a portable TV showing ITV Night Time.
