Ch

Ch. Supt. Philip Wilson in December 1991.

Philip Wilson was a Metropolitan Police Officer serving as Chief Superintendent of Stafford Row between 1990 and 1991.

Wilson chaired a meeting of senior officers at Stafford Row in January 1990. The meeting was attended by Charles Brownlow, Alistair Greig and Frank Burnside, with the latter struggling to keep awake whilst Wilson was speaking.

A Clean Division

Wilson informs Brownlow and Greig of Carver's arrest (A Clean Division).

Wilson was informed of Jim Carver's arrest prior to Brownlow causing some embarrassment at the conclusion of the meeting. (A Clean Division)

Bruce with Brownlow and Wilson

Wilson arrives at Sun Hill and speaks with Brownlow and Inspector Bruce (Thicker Than Water).

In December of the following year, Wilson visited Sun Hill when one of his officers, Mike Gibbs, was arrested for assault. Wilson made it clear to Brownlow that the senior management at his station were unaware of Gibbs' issues and therefore were not at fault for his actions. (Thicker Than Water)

By 1997, Wilson had left Stafford Row and had been replaced by Ch. Supt. Jeff Golding. (Friends In High Places)

Notes:[]

Wilson appeared in only two episodes and was portrayed by Antony Carrick on both occasions (being credited at Anthony Carrick in the latter).

A Clean Division Wilson

Wilson's meeting is interrupted by a P.C. (A Clean Division)

Wilson is not named in his first appearance (credited only as Chief Superintendent) and his first name is mentioned by Brownlow in the second. The spelling of Philip is conjecture as it is not shown on screen.

Carrick would also make one further appearance as Supt. Graves in Bait.
