W.P.C. Hughes
Similarly to P.C. Tony Stamp and W.P.C. Suzanne Ford, Michelle Hughes featured as an uncredited extra but she became a regular in 1993 and made her first appearance in the episode "On The Cards". She later became involved with the Domestic Violence Unit and dealt with many domestic cases.
In 1993, P.C. Reg Hollis made a presentation to a local school to raise awareness about burglary and was approached by one of the schoolboys about a domestic situation. Michelle informed Reg that the boy's mother would not cooperate but she gave the station permission to interview him and she rang a D.I. from the yard to accompany them whilst dealing with the domestic. She later investigated alongside W.P.C. Norika Datta and D.I. Frank Burnside a case where a woman was raped by her husband.
Michelle was last credited in the episode "Many Happy Returns" when she informed D.S. John Boulton of an assault that had occured. She returned as an extra and was last seen working in the C.A.D. Room in the episode "Racer" whilst W.P.C Debbie Keane spoke to P.Cs Tony Stamp and Luke Ashton about a car that was stolen. She left Sun Hill in 1998.
