Louise Golding

Louise Golding was an aerobics instructor and former Metropolitan Police Officer stationed at Stafford Row until she resigned from the force in 1997.

As a W.P.C. Louise started dating the station's Chief Superintendent, Jeff Golding, and they raised eyebrows when they later married, in part due to their differing ranks but also their age gap. She felt her position was untenable when her husband was later forced to reprimand her and she left the force. Her relationship with Golding was well known to A Relief at Sun Hill and she was on first name terms with P.C. Dave Quinnan, although new Sun Hill arrival P.C. Eddie Santini was unaware.

By February 1998, she was working two hours a day at the fitness centre on Jessop Street.

During this month, she was visited by Quinnan and Santini in relation to the petrol cap on her car being stolen and under their surveillance, the car itself was later stolen. Following a raid to retrieve it, the car was used by a suspect to escape and was badly damaged in a crash. (Friends In High Places)

Louise Golding was played by Cold Feet star Hermione Norris in her only appearance. She doesn't share any scenes with her on-screen husband in the episode.
