Harry Lloyd was born in London, England in 1983. He is a descendant of the writer Charles Dickens. Harry attended Eton College and whilst there was cast as Young Steerforth in the 1999 TV adaptaion of Dicken's David Copperfield, appearing with Maggie Smith and Daniel Radcliffe. In 2002 Harry appeared as Young Rivers in Goodbye Mr Chips with Martin Clunes.

Harry went on to study English at Christ Church, Oxford where he joined the Oxford University Dramatic Society appearing in several plays and winning plaudits for his role as Valentin in Kiss of the Spiderwoman. Harry left Oxford in Summer 2005.

Since then he has had guest appearances in M.I.T.: Murder Investigation Team, The Bill, Holby City and played Jason Bradley the son of Rhoda (Tamzin Outhwaite) in Vital Signs at the beginning of 2006.
