Joseph Corrie was a character in The Bill from 1990 until 1991.

Profile[]
Sergeant Joseph Corrie was drafted into Sun Hill in 1990 when Tom Penny was in court facing charges of drink-driving. The other officers predicted that he wouldn't last long. He worked alongside Sergeants Alec Peters and John Maitland on the A-Relief whilst Bob Cryer was Duty Sergeant, and was a cop of the 'old school'. He was usually seen working in the C.A.D. Room or in the Custody Area.
He did not expect to fill Penny's shoes right away as it is a matter of earning trust and respect but he hoped that one day, he would receive the same respect that was shown to his predecessor. He was a quiet sort of bloke - genial and friendly, if a little absent minded. Cryer considered him as a "good geezer" but Peters thought that he had been "pushing paper for too long." Corrie was only at the station for a few months, being later replaced by Matthew Boyden.
Service Record[]
- 1990 - Transferred to Sun Hill.
- 1991 - Left Sun Hill.
