Jeff Simpson was a white supremacist racist who appeared in The Bill in 2002. He was best known for killing Chief Inspector Derek Conway in retaliation to being assaulted by DS Vik Singh. To cover up his own involvement in the Sun Hill Fire, PC Des Taviner enlisted the help of DC Danny Glaze to frame Simpson for murder. He was sent to prison for life and in 2003 he protested from jail about the fire, and his private investigator ex-DI Sally Johnson investigated Taviner's involvement. Simpson was cleared, but stayed inside for his involvement of the murder of Conway.
