George Brooks was a Metropolitan Police Officer serving as a Superintendent between 1991 and 1992.

Brooks is introduced to D.C. Dashwood by Ch. Supt. Brownlow. (Black Mark)
Brooks served as a Detective Superintendent for the C.I.B. (Complaints Investigation Bureau) for 3 years and made his first appearance in the episode "Black Mark" when he was sent to Sun Hill to investigate a complaint which was made against D.C. Mike Dashwood by a prisoner, Harry Hayes, who was charged with stealing on the way to court. He searched Dashwood's desk and later interviewed him.
Despite saying he was to move to the Flying Squad, Brooks later returned in the episode "A Woman Scorned" transferred to A.M.I.P. (Area Major Incident Pool) after Jack Meadows was demoted to D.C.I. following his sergeant's corruption being exposed. He was sent to investigate a possible murder after a woman's dog dug up skeletal remains in her garden.
He made his last appearance in the episode "Whose Side Are You On?" when D.C. Tosh Lines passed on some information about a mugging which then turned into a murder.
