Sun Hill police station has an open day and a silver cup is stolen. D.C. Lines is having money problems: his mother has died and he needs a loan for the cost of the funeral. P.C. Hollis is concerned about stress on the job, but only makes Lines' problems worse. Lines and W.P.C. Ackland investigate a man who is suspected of running a disorderly house.
