The Trial of Eddie Santini is the 1497th episode of The Bill
P.C. Eddie Santini is on trial at the Old Bailey, accused of the murder of Jessica Orton. As the trial proceeds, Sherman's employees set about eliminating key witnesses in his upcoming trial. Liz Rawton is horrified to find Rosie Fox dead in her hotel. Santini is cleared, but as he returns home, he is shot dead by his drug squad friend DS Paul Timpney.
A video tape, The Bill: The Trial of Eddie Santini, including the episodes Kiss Off, Part 1 and Kiss Off, Part 2, was released by Clear Vision on 9 October 2000. A DVD version was released by Prism Leisure (FHED1597) on 14 October 2002.
