Plot

D.C.I. Jack Meadows arrives to take charge of Sun Hill CID. He becomes involved with a father suspected of murdering his drug addict son.

Notes

• First appearance of D.C.I. Jack Meadows (Simon Rouse). Meadows was previously a Detective Superintendent in AMIP (the Area Major Incident Pool, a precursor to MIT), but was demoted to DCI after one of the detectives in his command was found to be corrupt. Meadows obviously learned from this incident, as he managed to emerge unscathed when the same thing happened with D.S. Don Beech in 2000.
