Hauptmann demands to know who blew the gang's cover, and his associate Carson is suspected, and shot dead by another associate. He calls the victim's parents saying the undercover officer is dead, and that they want one million euros, but they scam the police at the drop off by stealing diamonds from the German government. When Terry goes to free the hostage, an associate hears him tell the victim he is undercover and Hauptmann goes to shoot Terry when Leipzig PD and Sun Hill CID raid the building, and a terrified hostage shoots an associate.

As the kidnappers arrive at an old GDR, which has been converted into a secret police HQ, they carry out their plans to execute the German national. However, when they realise the stepfather of the kidnapped national is behind the abduction, the police arrive at the GDR HQ and arrest everyone involved, freeing the German national. </span>
