Ch. Supt. Brownlow gives Ch. Insp. Conway a hard time about sick figures. P.C. Young is not feeling well and W.P.C. Ackland thinks it could be stress-related. P.C. Loxton calls Young to investigate something suspicious in a scrapyard, but it turns out to be a prank.
CID helps uniform combat burglaries on an estate. W.D.C. Martella and D.C. Carver pay follow-up calls to the victims. Carver is told that it's kids, but he has his doubts.
