PCs Armstrong and Gayle are called to attend when a teenaged girl is knocked down in a hit-and-run incident. Sgt Stone and PC Stamp track down the owner of the vehicle, who denies responsibility. Officers discover that the key witness to the incident is a missing person who is hiding a family secret.
