With D.I. Burnside and D.C.I. Wray both away, D.S. Greig is acting D.I., while a visiting D.C.I., Simon Bradby, takes charge. Greig leads an operation and foils an attempted wages snatch, but a suspect's handgun is lost in the raid. Meanwhile, P.C. Quinnan and W.P.C. Datta are called out to a disturbance at a benefit office, and uncover a baby being neglected by its parents.
