New recruit PC Mel Ryder accompanies Smithy to interview an ex-soldier accused of trashing his own home. The Iraq War veteran admits to involvement with a gun-running operation, but makes his escape after handcuffing the terrified pair at gun-point. When a young boy, Emile Grover, is found with a loaded gun, he is brought into the station for questioning - but reveals that he was asked to carry the gun by local gang leader Andre Tyrell. When Emile later goes missing, Smithy fears his life may be in danger.
