Furthers is the 309th episode of The Bill.
D.C. Dashwood investigates when a suspected robber he has been targeting has escaped from prison. After a man is murdered with a shotgun after talking to Dashwood, Det. Supt. Meadows and AMIP take over. Dashwood goes home, only to find the escaped prisoner waiting for him inside his flat, with the man having shot his girlfriend inside. After forcing Dashwood up onto the roof and humiliating Dashwood, he turns the gun on himself.
