Greig and Carver arrest a man on suspicion of handling stolen property. Martella waits for the man's children to come home, but the son kicks her and runs away, and the two daughters end up being charged with shoplifting. The son is found at a local church, where the priest thinks the father is beating the son. Greig is more interested in the men who stole the stuff in the first place.
