Derek Conway was the Chief Inspector and at a time acting superintendant. He was killed after his car was firebombed prior to the 2002 explosion. This explosion was aimed to kill the current superintendent at the time, however, Derek took their place for the meeting that night and was killed subsequently.
He was played by Ben Roberts.
