A Commander is a commissioned officer. A commander in the territorial policing directorate is responsible for overseeing an area which will include a number of boroughs. Currently the Area Commander covering Sun Hill is Commander Lisa Kennedy.
A Commander in the Central Operations, Specialist Operations and Specialist Crime Directorate is responsible for a number of OCUs within that Directorate.
