Charles Brownlow was a Superintendent for more than seven years, he was promoted with a transfer to Sunhill to Chief Superintendent in October 18th 1984 for the episode, Funny Ol' Business - Cops and Robbers

In 2001, CIB storms into Sunhill station and suspend the entire CID team with Immediate effect, even though he was in charge, Commander Ford was over Brownlow. Brownlow had many friends at Sunhill but one worst enermy who had just been promoted to Ch. Superintendent himself at Barton Street, 29 year old Guy Manion. In the end because of the Corruption of DS Don Beech, everyone up to the commissioner asks him to resign, in the end he does with the recomendation of DCI Tom Chandler to Guy by CIB for the new Superintendent of Sunhill.
