A Sun Hill officer is recruited by the Football Intelligence Unit to pose as a thug to trap an ex-policeman who is now the leader of a violent gang of football hooligans.
Plot
DC Mickey Webb is called in to see Supt. Tom Chandler where he is introduced to Ch. Insp. Grant Morys from the FIU. They tell him about a hooligan firm called ‘The Britannia’ led by Julian Napper, an ex-copper. To his horror, Chandler tells Webb they want him to go undercover in Napper's firm.
Webb is given his new identity--a builder named "Mickey Malone"--and is joined by PC Dave Quinnan and DC Paul Riley as his workmates and DS Debbie McAllister who will play Webb’s girlfriend. They all wonder why they have been chosen.
