Beth is the 'new kid on the block', often being talked about or more often sniggered at for being a 'baby'. She is just learning her trade at Sun Hill, and initially has a crush on PC Will Fletcher. Although, has became of this. She is portrayed as being cautious and weary of her actions, yet this can be linked to being a probationer.
She has a photographic memory, coming to her own when patrolling with the Superintendent identifying stolen merchandise from the serial number on the bottom of a toy robot. Another of her strength is that she can be close to victims, such as helping a woman who jumped of a bridge, or helping solve a CID case from knowledge obtained by getting to know the victim/assailant by having personal knowledge as seen in the episode ”Pay Back”.
