Ali Bastian (born Alexandra Bastian on 27 February 1982 in Windsor, Berkshire is an English television actress, best known for playing Becca Dean in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks from 2001 to 2007, and PC Sally Armstrong in long-running ITV drama series The Bill from 2007 to present.

Bastian was involved in a controversial storyline in Hollyoaks where her character was fired from her teaching job and sent to prison after having an affair with one of her students - Justin Burton played by Chris Fountain. At the 2006 British Soap Awards Bastian and Chris Fountain won the award for best storyline
In December 2005, alongside her Hollyoaks cast mates Jodi Albert and Sarah Jayne Dunn, Bastian appeared in an exercise video called Hollyoaks Get Fit. Ali also attended The Redroofs Theatre School, Maidenhead, Berkshire.

Bastian has also appeared on television in Jane Eyre, Cavegirl, A Touch of Frost, Twenty Four 7, and Here After.
Bastian joined ITV1 police drama The Bill as PC Sally Armstrong in summer 2007, shooting her final scenes in the autumn of 2009 whilst taking part in Strictly Come Dancing. Ali was the last female celebrity to be knocked out in the semi final, despite scoring 50 / 50 for her American Smooth.
She went onto win the 2009 Christmas Special scoring 40 / 40 for her viennese waltz.
In the summer of 2010 Ali & Brian were invited to be the stars of the international dance show 'Burn the Floor' for their six week run at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London.
February 2011 will see Ali star as Roxie Hart alongside fellow Bill & Hollyoaks cast member Stefan Booth as Billy Flynn, Tupele Dorgu from Coronation Street as Velma Kelly & Bernie Nolan as Matron 'Mamma' Morton in the UK touring production of Chicago.

Personal life[]
Bastian dated Hollyoaks co-star and on screen husband Kevin Sacre. During their two year relationship, the couple appeared in a celebrity couples edition of the quiz show The Weakest Link. The couple broke up in early 2006. Bastian then dated Nick Kennedy, a rugby union footballer, they broke up in 2009 and Bastian is currently dating her Strictly Comed Dancing partner, Brian Fortuna. They broke up after a year in 2010.
