Ray Ashcroft was born 28 June, 1952 in Sheffield. He is an English actor who played DS Geoff Daly in The Bill from 1996 to 2000, he has also appeared in Heartbeat, Emmerdale, Coronation Street, Dalziel and Pascoe and All Creatures Great and Small.
