Arun saw this as his chance to put things right, though it didn't always go to plan given his fiery temper and high enthusiasm.<br /><br />Arun was committed and dedicated to the job, wanting to put right any wrongs for everybody, however small they may be – adamant that he helped to make the streets safer. He did have a tendency to think a bit too highly and took himself too seriously at times, frequently speaking before thinking through what the consequences could be, but still managed to come across as sincere, with a certain amount of naive charm.<br />As dedicated as he was, his maverick streak meant he can be unpredictable and not always straight down the line – it all depends what the end result was. Arun was suspended from duty by Safter attempting to help an illegal immigrant escape detection with her son. After some time away from the job, Arun decided that he was not cut out for the MET and resigned.

Arun became involved in a case involving the wife of an illegal immigrant smuggler, he sympathised with her predicament and tipped her off about a police raid. Smithy interviewed Arun only to have his suspicions confirmed; he had lied, hidden CCTV evidence to cover his tracks, and importantly, didn’t see that he had done anything wrong. Arun was immediately suspended from duty pending an inquiry. He later resigned realising the damage he'd done. He handed his warrant card into Smithy.
